The site uses cookie-free analytics and a small preference record. Optional Cal.eu storage is controlled separately and never prevents access to the website.

How this statement applies

This statement covers cookies, local storage, and similar browser technologies used on the Seaton Systems website. It also explains our anonymous website measurement, even though that measurement does not place anything in your browser.

Necessary preference record

When you save a choice, this site stores seaton.storagePreferences in local storage. It records whether optional booking preferences are enabled, the policy version, and the time of your choice. It remains on your device, is not sent to Seaton Systems, and stops being used after 180 days.

This record is necessary to remember and respect your choice. If browser storage is unavailable, the current choice still works for that page and the website remains accessible.

Anonymous website analytics

We use PostHog to understand aggregate visits, page journeys, traffic sources, campaign links, outbound-link and download activity, and whether visitors reach the booking or enquiry outcomes. It runs on public pages without waiting for a storage choice because it does not use cookies, local storage, cross-site tracking, or persistent identifiers.

PostHog receives the page hostname and path, permitted campaign parameters, referrer, browser, operating system, device category, and approximate location derived from the network request. The integration removes every query parameter except ref, source, and standard utm_* campaign parameters before an event is sent. PostHog runs in its cookieless mode: visitor identity is a privacy-preserving hash computed on PostHog's EU servers from the network request, keyed on a salt that rotates every 24 hours, so it cannot follow a visitor across days, devices, or websites. Our project is configured to discard raw IP addresses at ingestion, and data is processed and stored in the EU.

The site sends page views, interactions with links and buttons on public pages, and limited conversion events such as a booking calendar loading or a booking completing. Form contents are never captured: it does not send contact-form answers, booking answers, names, email addresses, or enquiry content to PostHog. Analytics is used to compare channels such as organic search, referrals, and recognised AI assistants and to improve pages and conversion paths. It is not used for advertising profiles or individual sales surveillance.

The contact form

Submitting the contact form does not set a cookie or store anything in your browser. The successful receipt page can be counted as an aggregate conversion. See ourprivacy notice for what the form itself collects and why.

The Cal.eu booking calendar

Before Cal.eu loads, it cannot make a network request or set its storage through this site. Accepting optional booking preferences allows the calendar to load automatically and remember its time-display preference. Rejecting optional storage, or not choosing yet, keeps the embed off until you press Load booking calendar. That button loads it for the current page as a separate request and allows the reviewed security, session, and time-display storage listed below. Cal.eu currently creates its time-display preference when the calendar loads, even when no display format is selected by this site.

Marketing technologies

We do not use advertising pixels, remarketing cookies, cross-site profiles, or tools that sell visitor data. A future marketing tool would require this statement and the site controls to be updated before it was enabled.

Changing your choice

Use here or in the footer at any time. Rejecting optional storage does not disable PostHog because it places no cookie or persistent identifier in your browser. Clearing this site's local storage also resets the saved preference.

Review date

The Cal.eu storage items and direct iframe behaviour were observed on 2 August 2026. The general preference control was reviewed on 1 August 2026, and the analytics integration was replaced with PostHog's cookieless mode on 13 August 2026. The guarded production audit fails if Cal.eu adds unreviewed storage.
