Where this usually starts
Nobody sets out to keep six laptops in a cupboard for two years.
It happens because disposing of them properly is more awkward than leaving them there. The data is the real worry, the quantity is too small for the national providers to care about, and so the cupboard wins.

How it works
Six steps, and you can watch any of them.
The process is written down because a written process is what a one-person operation has instead of a certification badge. You are welcome to read it before you commit to anything.
- AgreeYou tell me roughly what you have and where. I tell you the cost, the timing, and who ends up with the equipment, in writing, before anything moves.
- PaperA data processing agreement is signed before I touch a device. You are the data controller; I am the processor. That is not a formality, it is the law and it protects you.
- CollectI arrive, log every device by serial number at your premises, and hand you a signed chain-of-custody receipt before anything leaves. Equipment travels sealed, and the chain of custody has one link in it.
- DestroyDrives are sanitised to NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 and verified, or physically destroyed if you prefer. Photographic evidence on request.
- CertifyOnce the work is done and verified, you receive a certificate listing every device by serial number and the method used against each, plus waste transfer documentation.
- RecoverWorking equipment is refurbished and resold rather than shredded. Where it is worth more than the job costs, you are paid rather than charged.

Being straight about it
What I am certified for, and what I am not.
Every competitor in this market lists ISO 27001. Most of them list it without explaining what it covers. Here is the honest version, because you will find out eventually and it is better that you hear it now.
- What I holdUpper-tier waste carrier registration, ICO registration, T11 waste exemption, and insurance covering public liability, client data and goods in transit.
- What I do not holdISO 27001, ADISA, BS EN 15713 or NCSC CAS certification. Those are facility certifications for operations with staff and a permitted site. I am one person with a documented process.
- What that means for youIf your procurement requires a certified facility, I am not your provider yet and I will say so on the first call rather than the third. For everyone else, what matters is that the process is written down, the paperwork is real, and the person who promised it is the person who does it.
However small the job
Tell me what you have and where it is.
A rough count and a postcode is enough for a straight answer on cost, timing and what the certificate will say. If another provider suits you better, you will be told that instead.
