Seaton Systems

What it costs

Priced before collection, never after.

Disposal pricing is genuinely conditional. The same six laptops can be a free collection, a paid one or a rebate depending on their age. Most providers resolve that by publishing nothing and making you ring for a quote. Here is the actual decision rule instead, including the jobs where you should be paid rather than charged.

Free collection

No charge

Equipment is retained and remarketed

  • Collection from your premises with no minimum quantity
  • Serial-level asset log and data destruction
  • Certificate of destruction issued the same day
  • WEEE disposal of anything beyond reuse
  • Equipment returned to you. This model is for kit you are retiring

Wipe and return

Quoted per device

You keep the equipment

  • Drives sanitised to NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 and verified
  • Machines returned to you ready to redeploy, donate or sell
  • Certificate of destruction listing every drive by serial number
  • Disposal. This model exists so you can keep the hardware

Rebate

You are paid

Equipment is purchased from you

  • Written valuation of the fleet before anything is collected
  • Payment for equipment worth more than the cost of handling it
  • Data destruction and certification regardless of the commercial outcome
  • Speculative offers. A valuation follows an equipment list, not a guess

The rule underneath

Value in, value out.

Working equipment carries residual value. That value pays for the collection, the data destruction and the paperwork, which is why most jobs cost you nothing. Older or bulkier equipment does not carry enough value to cover the work, so there is a charge, quoted before collection and never after.

Where a fleet is recent enough to be worth substantially more than the job costs, the honest position is that you should be paid for it. You will be told that rather than offered a free collection and left to assume free was a favour.

There is no minimum quantity in any of the four models.
